Elder Alvin J. Ford
I would like to take this time to thank my Heavenly Father for giving me life, health and a sound mind. I honor God as my father, Jesus as my savior/Lord and the Holy Spirit my teacher and guide. I would also like to say thank you to the entire membership of Friendship Primitive Baptist Church, Cocoa, Florida for giving me this opportunity to serve them as there Pastor/Servant and leader.
I pray that God will continue to give His approval of my life and ministry that I’m serving in at this junction of my spiritual walk with “Him” (God). To the church I admonish each of you to keep me in your prayers daily so that I may hear the voice of God as we move forward in this Gospel Ministry.
Friendship on behalf of my wife, Marie, my daughters, Shavon an d Jessica and my grandbaby, Allanah, we say thank you for all that you’ve done for us. You’ve been a real blessing. I want to take the time to honor and appreciate the installation committee and chairperson, Sister Shanda Griffin for all the hard work you’ve done to make this program a success. Without your effort, it would not have been done so orderly and timely. Thank you and May God bless you real good.
I would further like to thank all my family and friends and special guests for attending this service. I know many of you have traveled many miles to be here today to celebrate with me on this special occasion. I thank you for this great sacrifice of giving of yourself.
This has been a great experience being here in Brevard County and I look forward to serving this church and community as a servant and leader. In the words of Nehemiah 4:6 – So built we the wall and all the wall was joined together unto the half thereof: for the people had a mind to work. “A Working Minded People.”
In my closing I thank God for Jesus saving my soul, and putting love in my heart for humanity and a mind to make heaven my eternal home. I thank God for this privilege of an opportunity to serve this great church, Friendship P.B. in Cocoa. Let us continue to look to Jesus who is the author and finisher of our Faith (Hebrews 12:2).
Thank you Moderator J.C. Tookes and the entire delegation of the North Central P.B. Association for receiving me in love and respect in this august body.
Last but not least, thank you to my good friend Elder Willie L. Manning and Springhill M.B. Church from Tallahassee, Florida for being here in great numbers to celebrate with me. May God bless everyone and may Heaven smile upon you.
